Insect Bite Prevention

Bites and stings by insects and other creatures can lead to irritation, itching, redness, and swelling. In some cases, such as with bee and wasp stings, serious allergic reactions can occur. Adequate treatment after a sting or bite is therefore essential.

Insect bites are not only annoying, they can also be very dangerous. For instance, mosquitoes can transmit malaria, dengue fever, chikungunya, or yellow fever while a tick can infect you with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacterium that causes Lyme disease. Don’t give mosquitoes and ticks a chance and choose optimum protection against insect and tick bites. Cover as much skin as possible, and tuck trouser legs into socks to prevent stings and bites. Impregnated socks can protect feet and ankles even better. Exposed skin is best protected with a Care Plus® Anti-Insect product.
